The objectives of the 3rd e-ASEM Network Follow-up Meeting is to share the current achievements and the future work of the e-ASEM Network and its working groups and to promote partnership and collaboration among ASEM members to activate each working group.

This 3rd e-ASEM Network Follow-up Meeting is held as a result of the 1st e-ASEM Network meeting in Bangkok (May 2006) and the 2nd e-ASEM Network meeting at the Asia-Europe Colloquy in Seoul (Sep. 2006). During 2006, the research team of Korean National Open University (KNOU) together with the members of the e-ASEM Network established the strategic foundation for the e-ASEM Network including vision, scope of activity, working groups, and their activities. Through the Asia-Europe e-learning Colloquy, the master plan of the e-ASEM Network was reported to all participants and revised accordingly. The working group was expanded with members recruited from Asian and European countries according to their interests.

This year's meeting will be held on the occasion of 35th anniversary of the Korean National Open University, and it will be an opportunity to share the current achievements and the future work of the e-ASEM Network and exchange ideas for promoting partnership and collaboration among ASEM members in the field of e-Learning.
