Through sociological, historical and ethnographic research this programme explores critically changes associated with the emergence of a globalised knowledge economy and society through three inter-related contexts:
- Comparative inter-/national policies to develop a knowledge economy and society - their global travel and local negotiation
- New forms of organisation and management in the private and public sectors, including universities and their pedagogies
- Academic practices - politics of knowledge, research and dissemination, and learning and teaching - as shaped by these organisational and policy contexts
