In 2006, The Danish School of Education started publishing the Quarterly Online Magazine - a journalistic online magazine with articles on educational research, development and application of educational scientific knowledge. In each issue, the educational agenda was covered from the vantage point of a particular research question or current development.

In 2008, the Quarterly Online Magazine turned into Education Alliance Quarterly, when the Danish School of Education, Aarhus University, became a member of the International Alliance of Leading Education Institutes (IALEI). Still published four times a year, the quarterly online magazine, now a communication platform of the IALEI alliance, also became available in a printed version.

From 2010, the magazine is only out once a year as the Education Alliance Magazine - online as well as printed.
